Swansea running is coastal and flat — The Swansea 5K is the signature local race, and the seafront promenade along Swansea Bay offers uninterrupted running from the city centre to the Mumbles, around 12km of sea views at near-zero elevation. Cyclists head inland toward Port Talbot and the industrial valleys where the Port Talbot Whs CC Club 10 time trials run on the A48 corridor — a fast, rolling course at roughly 16km — or venture north into the Brecon Beacons within 40km for serious climbing and moorland terrain above 400m.
