Rock Solid Kastellorizo is a small island trail-running weekend on Kastellorizo in the Dodecanese, at the eastern edge of Greece and Europe. The program includes a 22K mountain-style trail race, a Sunday 10K, a 5K, and a 1.3K kids' race called Kastellorizaki. The main 22K starts in Kastellorizo in the morning, climbs about 1,006 meters, and gives runners 4 hours 30 minutes to finish. The 10K is also tightly capped, with only 50 places, so the event feels more like a focused island gathering than a mass race. Rock Solid organizes it with the Municipality of Megisti-Kastellorizo, and the event runs under the auspices of the Hellenic Olympic Committee. The 22K route links Iroon Square, Mounta, Ro, Palaiokastra, Agios Ioannis, the 400 Steps, Strongyli, Agios Giorgis, and the French Footpath. Expect stone-paved paths, steep climbing, and exposed island terrain rather than a fast road course. The main race carries 1 ITRA point and serves as a qualifier for the Olympus Marathon and Cheimoniatikos Enipeas, indicating it is aimed at serious trail runners as well as adventurous visitors. The weekend still makes room for shorter races and children, with the 5K capped at 80 runners and the kids' race capped at 50. Awards go to the top overall men and women, age-category finishers, and the first local finishers, with medals, timing, aid stations, medical support, and route marking included.
