29. Raiffeisen Schneeberg-Lauf & 14. Schneeberg-Trail 2026

The Schneeberg-Lauf begins at the Schneeberghalle in Puchberg am Schneeberg, leading runners up Lower Austria's highest peak. This annual event focuses on mountain running, not flat-road speed. The classic Schneeberg Lauf covers 10 km with approximately 1,200 m of climbing. An additional Schneeberg Trail offers a more challenging 20 km route with about 2,000 m of ascent. Both the 10 km and 20 km races conclude at Bergbahnhof Hochschneeberg, the mountain station above Puchberg. However, a longer 31 km race concludes back at the Schneeberghalle. This event attracts trail runners seeking a direct alpine challenge: begin in the village, ascend steeply, and finish atop the Schneeberg instead of completing a circuit within the town.
