Tour de Bakony 2025

From Kastélyudvar in Iszkaszentgyörgy, this cycling performance tour has a very local, community feel. The Tour de Bakony 2025 promotes cycling and an active lifestyle, not aiming to be the Tour de France. The route connects the Bakony foothills to the Vértes, passing Fehércsurgó, Bodajk, Mór, Csákberény, Guttamási, Isztimér, and Bakonykút, offering "the picturesque view of the Bakony and the Vértes." Expect asphalt roads, mostly with low traffic, and a section on a dedicated bike path, suitable for steady riders, families, and e-bike users. A notable feature is how the tour passes through castles and their grounds: Amadé-Bajzát-Pappenheim Castle, Károlyi Castle, Móri Lamberg Castle, the Mór wine region, and Csókakő Castle provide points of interest beyond the road. Participants carry a route sheet, get it signed at checkpoints, and present it again at the finish.
