À propos de cette course
The Crazyman begins in Wellington’s Hutt Valley, taking participants through a full day of kayaking, mountain biking, and trail running. First held in 1991, the complete course covers approximately 54 km: 13 km by kayak, 28 km on a mountain bike, and 13 km on foot. A duathlon option is available for those preferring the bike and run legs without the kayak.
The course runs point-to-point, transitioning from harbour and river sections into hills, off-road riding, and trails. Solo competitors can complete the entire event, while teams divide the disciplines among two or three members for the multisport race, or two for the duathlon. This structure accommodates experienced multisport and adventure racers, as well as mountain bikers, paddlers, and trail runners participating as a team.
