Bieg bez Granic / Lauf ohne Grenzen is a cross-border running event in the twin town area of Gubin, Poland, and Guben, Germany. The main race begins at 11:00 AM from Plac sw. Jana Pawla II in Gubin, which also serves as the event hub and finish area. The name translates to “Run Without Borders,” with the course centered on the Lusatian Neisse river, the waterway that divides the two towns while connecting their public life.
This marks the tenth edition, giving the event established local history beyond a single-day run. The schedule features a “Run with the Champion,” a collective warm-up before the main start, awards presented in the early afternoon, and music provided by a DJ. Families are included: children have an Athletics Village called “Athletics for Everyone,” coordinated with athletics associations, offering free attractions like bouncy castles. Road closures in central Gubin indicate the race utilizes the town centre, not a park course.
