Bieg po lotnisku is the SKYWAYRUN series, Poland's first races held on airport runways. The concept is straightforward: runners can race in a location usually off-limits to the public, after completing a passenger-style check-in before accessing the airport apron or runway. The series provides various race distances and takes place at different airports throughout Poland. Its past locations have featured civilian airports in Rzeszów, Wrocław, and Gdańsk, alongside military airfields in Mińsk Mazowiecki and Poznań. The unique venue is the primary attraction; instead of urban streets, participants assemble on active aviation grounds, complete with the associated logistical and security procedures.
