À propos de cette course
The PKO Gdynia Half Marathon is a night half marathon held in Gdynia, a Polish port city on the Baltic coast. Runners start at 8:30 PM. The event is large for Polish road races, with approximately 10,000 participants anticipated and entries sold out for both the half marathon and the accompanying 5K. It also features the Gdynia Kids Run earlier in the day, extending the program from children’s races to the main evening start.
The route follows central streets, including Władysława IV and the Seaside Boulevard, before concluding on Gdynia Śródmieście Beach. The race also serves as a championship event: Gdynia is hosting the Polish Half Marathon Championships as part of the event. Medals from the Polish Athletics Association will be awarded across six age categories, and these championships are open to all registered participants. Along the course, organizers are presenting an LED show on Jana z Kolna Street, alongside fire and laser shows on Piłsudskiego Avenue. The race village, event office, and Fit Living Expo operate throughout the day.
