Derby urban area

Running in Derby is mostly flat urban parkland — the River Derwent path through the city centre and Elvaston Castle Country Park offer the main easy miles. Cyclists have limited flat options locally but head south towards Milton Keynes for the Team MK TT Series races (Whaddon 14.48km and Nash 17.7km time trials), or north into the Peak District within 30km for serious hill work.
