Le Hero Half Marathon, c'est une journée de course à Fayetteville pour lever des fonds. Au programme, tu as un semi-marathon de 13.1 miles, un relais à 2, un quart de marathon, un 5K et un Spark One Mile. C'est la Spark Foundation et la Fayetteville Firefighters' IAFF Local 2866 qui s'occupent d'organiser ça. Il y a aussi un programme d'entraînement de 15 semaines pour le semi-marathon si tu veux. The route’s most unusual feature is the setting: runners pass the Christ of the Ozarks statue and move through parts of The Holy Land Tour instead of using a standard park or road course. The Fun Run goes to the statue and loops around the grounds. The 5K was changed after runner feedback indicated the old version was too difficult; it now stays higher on the hill near the amphitheater and statue, while still crossing the Passion Play stage and passing the tabernacle.
