Castle Rock Trail Festival / liveBIG Run
SAM OCT 3
Spooky Sprint Denver 5k/10k & Half Marathon
SAM OCT 3
Lafayette Music Fest -5K - 10K
SAM OCT 3
The Lafayette Music Fest 5K/10K is a run-or-walk race held alongside a live-music festival in Lafayette, Colorado. Participants can choose between a 5K and a 10K. Rock for the People, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, organizes the event as part of its mission to foster a more inclusive local music community by providing free and low-cost rehearsal and recording access. Both courses utilize the Coal Creek Trail in Boulder County and are designed as out-and-back routes for simplicity. The 10K features four aid stations approximately 1 to 1.5 miles apart, offering salty and sweet snacks, water, and electrolyte drinks. The 5K includes two aid stations with drinks and a limited snack selection. Awards are presented to the top three female and male finishers in each age group, ranging from 10-20 to 70+. The finish area offers a festival atmosphere with donuts, live music performances, and opportunities to enjoy the musical aspect of the event.
PRA Miner Gold Rush
SAM OCT 3
PRA Miner Gold Rush is a school-year kickoff race and fall festival at Prospect Ridge Academy, featuring a 5K on campus in the morning and a 1-mile fun run afterward. The 5K corrals at 8:30 a.m. and starts at 9 a.m.; the shorter run begins at 10:30 a.m. The schedule shifted earlier due to afternoon thunderstorms impacting past events. The race day centers on the PRA community, drawing over 1,000 people to campus in a recent edition. The 5K also serves as a BOLDERBoulder qualifier, making it more than a casual school run for those aiming for a seeded start there. Following the running events, the Fall Festival takes place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the grass soccer field, offering ticket packages, family sponsorship levels, business sponsorships, and early festival access for families purchasing a sponsorship package.
Spooky Sprint - Denver
SAM OCT 3
The Spooky Sprint - Denver is a Halloween-themed road race held annually at Chatfield State Park in Littleton, southwest of Denver. As part of the Bodies Race Series, it offers a family-friendly setup with options for a 5K, 10K, half marathon, or an untimed 1 Mile. Younger children have their own untimed dash. The in-person races feature chip timing with live results and awards, and a virtual option allows participants to run independently while still receiving event merchandise. The race course is a road race within Chatfield State Park, with distances from a 1-mile family option to a half marathon. The expected attendance is in the hundreds, suggesting a focus on local runners, families, first-time racers, and those seeking Halloween-themed fun, rather than a large-scale urban event. Registration includes a custom bib, a designer shirt, and a finisher medal, along with complimentary participant photos and post-race treats. Children aged 10 and under can participate in the dash for free without merchandise. The 5K and 10K events provide reduced pricing for participants aged 12 and under.
SKECHERS Hot Chocolate Run Denver
DIM OCT 4
Westy Half & 5k
DIM OCT 11
The Westy Half & 5k is a fall running event in Westminster, Colorado, located at 10600 Westminster Boulevard. It features two distances: a half marathon for those seeking a longer morning run, and a 5k for participants preferring a shorter race. The event is part of the Hometown Race Series, which organizes half marathons and 5k races in communities outside the primary Denver and Boulder metro regions. A notable aspect is the 5k medal policy: all 5k finishers receive a medal, a practice that remains infrequent for this race distance.
Race to Cure Sarcoma Denver
SAM OCT 24
Race to Cure Sarcoma Denver is an annual event in Denver featuring a timed 5K run, an untimed 5K run, or a 1-mile walk. Virtual options are available for those unable to attend in person. Adult registration costs $35, while children ages 6 to 12 can register for $10. Registration remains open until 8:30 AM MDT on race morning. The participants include not only runners seeking a specific time but also families, children, walkers, survivors, supporters, and individuals fundraising in honor of someone affected by sarcoma. The event is part of the Sarcoma Foundation of America’s Race to Cure Sarcoma series. This series utilizes local races to fund research and increase awareness of sarcoma, a rare cancer that can develop in bone or connective tissues like muscle, fat, nerves, blood vessels, and tissue around joints. The Denver campaign has a fundraising goal of $90,000. Individual fundraisers and teams, such as Super Mario, Team Dave Hughes, Purple Cancer Beaters, The Joel Memorial League, and Dave’s Legacy, are already contributing. This broader cause benefits over 200,000 sarcoma patients and their families, making the race both a community gathering and a practical fundraiser for research.
Apex Foundation Trick or Trot 5K & Halloween Hunt
SAM OCT 24
The Apex Foundation Trick or Trot 5K & Halloween Hunt, a Halloween-time race event in Arvada, is presented by Intermountain Health. The 5K is open to runners and walkers of all ages and abilities. Registered participants receive an event giveaway item, a swag bag, and a chance at prizes. The event includes a separate 1-mile Trick or Trot Candy Hunt for children 12 and under, featuring candy stops along the course. Costumes are encouraged, with contest prizes awarded for children 12 and under, couples, groups, homemade outfits, and pets. Proceeds benefit the Apex Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit supporting Apex Park and Recreation District's community recreation programs.
The 14th Annual Odyssey Odyssey - 2026
DIM OCT 25
The Odyssey Odyssey is an annual running event in Denver, Colorado, with short-distance options of 1.6 km and 5 km. It starts at Great Lawn Park, using the 101 Yosemite Street start location on the city’s east side. The race is built for runners who want a compact local event rather than a long road race. The 1.6 km option suits beginners, families, or anyone keeping the effort light, while the 5 km gives regular runners a familiar distance without turning the day into a major endurance test.
I Ain't Scared (of 5k)
SAM OCT 31
I Ain't Scared (of 5k) is a Halloween-themed 5k held at Carpenter Park, located near Colorado and 108th Avenue in Thornton, Colorado. The children's race begins at 9:15 AM Mountain time, followed by the 5k at 9:30. The shorter event is a 100-yard fun run for children ages 2 to 7. This race occurs only when Halloween falls on a weekend. Costumes are encouraged, and music and Halloween snacks are provided. All participants receive a finisher medal and a T-shirt printed with glow-in-the-dark ink. The kids' fun run is free, making the event suitable for families as well as 5k runners.
Halloween Trick or Trot Run 5K/10K/13.1
SAM OCT 31
The Halloween Trick or Trot Run is a San Francisco running event with 5K, 10K, and half-marathon options, plus a 1-mile Family Fun Run. It is designed for runners seeking a holiday race over a standard road run, with post-run Halloween candy provided. Virtual 5K, 10K, and half-marathon entries are also available for those who prefer to complete the distance independently. Registration is organized into waves, and each wave closes upon reaching capacity, encouraging early sign-ups. Runners may select an Eco-Registration for the 5K, 10K, or half marathon to forgo the race shirt. The availability of short, long, family, virtual, and no-shirt choices offers greater flexibility than a single-distance Halloween fun run.

Runner’s Edge of the Rockies, Runner’s Roost, Aurora Run Club, Black Girls Run Denver, Boulder Striders, bRUNch Running, et Citius Run Club animent le calendrier.
