It includes a 5K run and a 1 Mile Fun Run, suitable for competitive runners, families, and walkers. The Doylestown event is part of the 9/11 Heroes Run series, which focuses on remembering those lost on September 11 and honoring military members, first responders, and community volunteers. Scoogië's Oktoberfest 5k, 5 Miler, 2 Mile Jog/Walk & Kids Root Beer Run!
DIM OCT 4
Scoogië's Oktoberfest is a small race-day lineup in Ambler, Pennsylvania, starting from 300 Brookside Ave. The menu offers runners and walkers several choices: a 5K, a 5 Miler, a 2 Mile Jog/Walk, and a short Kids Root Beer Run of about 0.4 km. The Oktoberfest theme is part of the name, and the distances make the event more family-oriented than a single road race. Adults can pick either the 5K or the longer 5-mile option, walkers have their own 2-mile distance, and kids get a separate root beer run instead of being included in the adult races.
Sterbenz Run for the Pickles 5K and 2K Pup Strut & Stroll

The race structure allows participants to select the 5K run or the 2K Pup Strut & Stroll, suitable for walkers, families, and dog owners. The event is also listed as the Sterbenz Run for the Pickels 5K/2K Pup Strut and Stroll, using that specific spelling.
9/11 Heroes Run - Doylestown, Pennsylvania
DIM OCT 4
The 9/11 Heroes Run in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, takes place at 375 W Court Street. It offers a 5K, a 5K ruck, wheeled and pusher divisions, and a 1-mile run/walk. The event is open to runners, walkers, ruckers, active duty military, first responders, families, and volunteers, serving as both a race and a remembrance. The 5K features individual entries, active duty military and first responder entries, a wheeled division, and honor-bib rider and pusher categories. The ruck division, run with GORUCK, requires participants to carry weighted rucksacks, a practice from special forces training. GORUCK entrants get a TMF GORUCK patch. The event remembers those lost and tested on September 11, and those who served in subsequent wars, with local support going to veterans, active duty service members, first responders, and families of the fallen.

This variety allows adults, children, walkers, joggers, and faster runners to participate together. The scarecrow theme is central to the day. Participants are encouraged to wear scarecrow or fall costumes, with dressed-up runners eligible for the Scarecrow Shuffle Costume Contest. Fitzy's Halloween 5K Run & 1.5 Mile Walk
DIM OCT 25
Fitzy's Halloween 5K Run & 1.5 Mile Walk is a Halloween-themed community race held at 505 Sycamore Road in West Reading, Pennsylvania. The event features a 5K run for individuals and teams, a 1.5 mile walk, a virtual 5K option, and a free Kids Trick or Treat Dash for children 10 and under. It is supported by Lauren's Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, with proceeds directed to local families via charitable funds. This race has been held for over twenty years, establishing it as a local tradition. The course covers approximately 5 kilometers for runners and 2.4 kilometers for walkers, with a short dash for children who receive Halloween goodie bags. The event attracts runners, walkers, families, teams, virtual participants, and children, many drawn by the candy and costumes as much as the race itself. Costume contests for adults and children enhance the Halloween theme. Food trucks, entertainment, supervised childcare for ages 2 and up, and a health services fair contribute to its role as a community gathering. The event also provides scholarships for Berks students who write about overcoming challenges.

SAM OCT 31
The Tapping of the Great Pumpkin is a Halloween-themed race day in Spring House, Pennsylvania, held at the Great Pumpkin Venue on Sumneytown Pike. It takes place on a Saturday near Halloween, with the kids' race starting first, followed shortly by the longer races. Over 1,000 runners and walkers are anticipated, and the event typically sells out. The day embraces its pumpkin-and-costume theme, differing from a standard road race. Participants are encouraged to wear costumes, with a contest held after the races. The post-race gathering features food from Penna's Italian Market for those with bibs, and a complimentary beer from Well Crafted Beer Company for participants over 21 with bibs. Awards and costume contest winners are announced at the party, connecting the finish line directly to the social aspect of the event.

The post-race gathering includes chocolate, live music, and a costume competition with awards for top male, female, and team costumes. Trophies will be presented to the fastest male and female runners, overall top finishers, and age-group competitors, including a youth division for those 14 and younger.
32nd Annual Oley Valley Country Classic 10 Mile & 6K Run - RRCA Regional Championship
DIM NOV 1
