The Honolulu FrontRunners/FrontWalkers PRIDE RUN/WALK 5K is a 5K run and walk held at Ala Moana Beach Park in Honolulu. The event begins at Magic Island, welcoming both runners and walkers. It serves as an active Pride event for the LGBTQ+ community and its supporters, rather than a competition solely for speed. The course loops around Ala Moana Beach Park, keeping participants within the boundaries of one of Honolulu’s primary waterfront parks. Following the finish, attendees can enjoy refreshments, socialize, and attend an awards ceremony. Awards will be presented to overall and age-group winners in women's, men's, and nonbinary categories. Participants receive a PRIDE RUN/WALK 5K T-shirt, subject to availability. Previous results and photographs will be published online post-event.

Makoa is a 5K, 10K, and half marathon series held at Wai Kai in Ewa Beach on West Oahu. The start and finish are at Hawaii's sole waterfront recreation facility. The courses are flat and fast, with each route measured at least three times before race day. Aid stations are positioned about a mile apart, offering water, electrolytes, and first aid, with medical support at every start and finish line. Finishers receive custom medals with distance-specific ribbons, cooling towels, free professional race photos, and a post-race meal of breakfast burritos and chocolate milk.

The PGB 5K Aloha Run - Kapolei is a December 5K starting at the Kapolei VA Clinic on West Oahu. This is planned as the first annual in-person race, with a virtual option available for those unable to attend the clinic. The event also features a Warrior Kids SuperHeroes vs Villains activity. The race emphasizes military and community support beyond the 5K distance. Proceeds benefit the Gold Stars Christmas Party, the Kapolei VA Clinic Veterans Dinner, and Fallen Heroes Family Camp. Runners can allocate $10 of their registration fee to a chosen organization or program supporting groups like children, domestic abuse victims, abandoned seniors, homeless veterans, or school initiatives. In-person participants can collect their race packets before the event or on race morning. Virtual participants will have their bibs, shirts, and medals mailed to them, with shipping costs covered.

The Ku'ikahi 5K & 10K is a road race in Honolulu, starting from Ala Moana Beach Park, offering both 5K and 10K distances. Aloha Racing presents the event, which begins early in the morning on a fast, flat oceanfront course. It is a relatively new race, with an expected field of approximately 1 to 100 participants, distinguishing it from large city races. Both distances incorporate Magic Island, the peninsula adjacent to Ala Moana, before proceeding along the water. Runners are treated to unobstructed views of Waikiki, the turquoise ocean, and Diamond Head, with the sound of waves audible along sections of the path. The park's environment also facilitates easy spectating for friends and family, allowing them to cheer without needing to travel across town.
