Le Fueled by Fire 5K & Challenge, ça part et ça arrive à Tarpon Point Marina et The Westin Cape Coral Resort, sur Silver King Boulevard à Cape Coral, en Floride. C'est leur 5K annuel, une course/marche organisée par la Cape Coral Fire Department Community Foundation. Le départ est à 7h00 du matin, et si tu ne peux pas venir en personne, il y a une option 5K virtuel. Pour le parcours en personne, ça te fait passer par différentes parties de Cape Coral. Le chronométrage et les résultats, c'est géré par Lin-Mark Sports, un service de chronométrage du coin. La course, elle soutient les initiatives communautaires de la fondation des pompiers : les fonds servent à financer des formations et du matériel de réanimation cardio-pulmonaire (CPR), de l'éducation sur la sécurité incendie et la sécurité des personnes, et un mémorial pour les pompiers locaux. L'événement est ouvert aux familles, aux marcheurs, aux coureurs et à ceux qui soutiennent les pompiers. The Poker Run 5K is a timed 5K race in North Port, Florida. It begins at Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park, located near I-75. This event is structured as a Texas Hold'em-style run, benefiting the Imagine North Port Cross Country and Track & Field Sharks. Net proceeds will be directed to the team's booster account. Participation is open to all, but individuals must be 21 years or older to engage in the poker aspect of the run. The course guides participants from the park to a water stop and poker table situated mid-race. Here, runners collect two playing cards before continuing the 3.1-mile route back to the finish. Prior poker experience is not required; participants simply collect their cards and submit them at check-in, where they will be stapled to their name. The Haunted 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon is a Halloween-themed US Road Running event in Punta Gorda, Florida. It starts at 8:00 AM from 670 Cooper Street. Participants can select from 5K, 10K, or 13.1-mile distances. Walkers are welcome, as the organizer designs races for both running and walking. All participants must register in advance via RunSignup; no race-day registration is available. Packet pickup begins 30 minutes before the start and concludes 10 minutes prior. The course consists of asphalt, utilizing repeating out-and-back loops from a single start area. Parking is available by the baseball fields, with restrooms located near the start/finish line. The 5K covers the loop twice, the 10K covers it four times, and the half marathon completes its longer out-and-back course six times. All events have a 3-hour-30-minute time limit. Finishers will receive medals, and there will be an award for best costume. Runners can also accumulate points for the US Road Running series.

The Fast & The Furriest is a Rochester pet and running event held at Brown Square Park, located across from Rochester Animal Services on Verona Street. Participants can choose between an in-person or virtual 10K and 5K race, a half-mile kids race, and an in-person or virtual dog walk. A pet festival also takes place throughout the morning and early afternoon. The 10K and 5K races commence on Verona Street, with the dog walk starting within the park. The event attracts runners, children, dog owners, families, animal advocacy groups, and individuals fundraising for pets in need. The festival features live music, food trucks, vendors, sponsor giveaways, pet contests, an adoptable dog showcase, a silent auction, and a clinic providing rabies and DAPP vaccines along with microchipping on a first-come, first-served basis. Now in its 20th year, the event serves as a fundraiser and public pet-care day, closely connected to the city shelter situated next door.
