Forbidden Run Fest is a fall trail-and-gravel race within Philadelphia's Wissahickon Valley Park, headquartered at Houston Recreational Center. Participants select from 10K, 10-mile, or half marathon distances, all crossing a blend of compacted dirt, wide gravel, single track, and rocky ascents. The event limits registration to 750 runners and employs chip timing, with aid stations positioned every 2 to 3 miles offering water, Gatorade, and snacks. It is designed for road runners new to trails and trail runners seeking a quicker course than a fully technical one. Much of the running occurs on Forbidden Drive, a 5.45-mile, 25-foot-wide gravel path with a mild maximum grade and significant daily use within the park. The half marathon incorporates approximately five miles of technical single track alongside eight miles of gravel, while the 10-miler features downhill single track and an out-and-back section on Forbidden Drive. All distances encounter a version of the race's challenging climb, Mount "What the heck," a rocky final quarter mile that adds difficulty near the finish. Following the race, participants receive fresh pizza, seasonal refreshments, live music, and comfortable race sweatshirts instead of typical disposable merchandise.

The Lehigh Valley Turkey Trot is a post-Thanksgiving 5K and fun walk held in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. It begins at Luckenbach Mill on Old York Road. Starts are staggered: runners depart first, followed by competitive walkers, and then fun walkers. Over 1,000 participants attended the last event, indicating its status as a community-scale race. The course winds through Historic Bethlehem and the Moravian Church Settlements, providing a view of one of the city’s historic districts. Dogs are welcome and participate in a pet costume contest, which is held alongside a general costume contest for runners and walkers in holiday or race-themed attire. Awards are presented for individual and group costumes, with judging criteria including creativity, pet-and-handler pairings, and adherence to the Turkey Trot theme. Proceeds from the race benefit Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites, supporting preservation efforts and educational programs on local history spanning three centuries. Registered 5K participants receive a shirt, refreshments, weekend museum admission, and a shop discount.

The Doylestown Jingle Bell Turkey Trot takes place in late November at Delaware Valley University in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. Parking, registration, the start, and the finish are all located on campus. Runners and walkers can choose from a 5K, a 10K, a 2-mile jog or walk, or the Li'l Elves Kids' Run. This event is in its ninth year and is known as Bucks County's largest turkey trot. The day embraces the holiday theme beyond a typical local road race. Participants are encouraged to wear costumes or ugly holiday sweaters, and all receive jingle bells for their running shoes. The field includes families, kids, walkers, and runners selecting various distances. The race has previously sold out. Proceeds benefit the Bucks County Opportunity Council.

Le Superbowl Tailgate Trot 10K part et arrive au club-house des Lehigh Valley Road Runners, à Lehigh Parkway, Allentown. Ce 10K a lieu le matin du Super Bowl, et tu as deux heures max pour le boucler. C'est ouvert aux coureurs de 10 ans et plus. Lancée en 2002, cette épreuve est un peu le rituel d'avant-match pour ceux qui veulent boucler leur course avant le début des festivités du football. Le parcours serpente dans Lehigh Parkway et les quartiers d'à côté. Attention, certaines portions sont partagées avec la circulation locale. Même si les carrefours sur Lehigh Parkway East auront des barrières, il se peut que des riverains passent quand même. On te rappelle de bien respecter le code de la route pendant la course. La course propose des classements par catégorie d'âge, pour les Masters, et bien sûr, un classement général. Les premiers hommes et femmes au scratch gagnent des prix en espèces, et les vainqueurs par catégorie reçoivent des bons d'achat de magasins de running du coin. L'événement collecte aussi des dons alimentaires pour l'Allentown Rescue Mission. Ils demandent surtout des céréales, des conserves de légumes, du café, du sucre, du bouillon et de la sauce marinara.

Mother's Day Run : au programme, une arche d'arrivée gonflable et une rose fraîche pour toutes les coureuses. Les marcheurs et les familles sont aussi les bienvenus. Et pour les inscriptions non-binaires, il y aura des récompenses spécifiques. Si tu cours ton premier half marathon ou marathon, tu recevras une plaque commémorative en plus de ta médaille finisher. Attends-toi aussi à du SWAG de qualité et à un bon ravitaillement après la course. Ça promet d'être une journée festive et dont on se souviendra !

On t'invite à une course ou une marche pour lutter contre la stigmatisation et sensibiliser à la santé mentale. Le parcours est en ligne, plutôt plat et rapide, et il te fera traverser des quartiers locaux sur des routes goudronnées. Le départ et l'arrivée sont prévus au campus de Bethlehem du Northampton Community College. Que tu sois un coureur aguerri ou que tu participes juste pour le plaisir, tu es le bienvenu. Les marcheurs, les poussettes et les animaux de compagnie tenus en laisse sont les bienvenus, mais il faudra partir derrière les coureurs. La Queen of Prussia 10K, présentée par Premier Orthopaedics et Hand to Shoulder Center (US), c'est une course 100% féminine, super bien organisée par des femmes du coin, et c'est fait pour toi et tes copines de course. C'est la 7ème édition, et ça se passe au King of Prussia's Town Center, un endroit où le shopping en plein air, les restos et la course se rejoignent. Au programme, tu auras des événements en amont, une petite fête après la course, et bien sûr, ta Finisher's Medal. Rien n'est laissé au hasard pour que tu passes une journée inoubliable.
