The half marathon begins in the morning, following park roads shaded by trees and paved trails around Maple Beach. The course has a fast, gently rolling terrain, avoiding steep hills. Costumes are welcome, and finishers will receive Halloween treats. Early registrants get race merchandise, including a custom bib, a designer shirt, and a medal. The kids' dash is open to children aged 10 and under, with a free option that does not include merchandise. Youth pricing is available for the 5K and 10K, making the shorter distances more accessible for families.

Les courses principales sont chronométrées par puce avec les résultats en direct, tandis que les épreuves plus courtes pour la famille sont là pour la détente, sans la pression. Pour la "Detroit Mother's Day Run/Walk" cette Fête des Mères, rejoins les mères, sœurs, filles et toutes les femmes de ton entourage. Les maris, frères, pères et fils sont bien sûr les bienvenus pour venir soutenir. Les récompenses, par contre, sont réservées aux dames. Tu peux monter des équipes Mère-Fille, Trois Générations de Femmes, ou des Équipes Famille ! Les participants de la "Kids Run" reçoivent une médaille avant les festivités d'après-course.
