Rhode Island DEM rules mandate that all participants and volunteers at the Run for the Pumpkins Trail Run wear at least 200 square inches of orange. This fall 5K and 10K trail event takes place at Bradford Preserve in Westerly, Rhode Island, with both races starting and ending at the preserve. The route starts with approximately one-third of a mile across an open grass field, allowing runners to spread out before entering the narrower trails. The course then proceeds primarily on dirt trails through Town of Westerly land and a section of Woody Hill Management Area, featuring both double-track and single-track paths. Course markings include flags and signs, complemented by seasonal decorations such as ghosts to enhance the pumpkin-themed atmosphere. While walkers are welcome, they are encouraged to opt for the 5K distance; dogs and strollers are not permitted on the course. Prizes will be awarded to the top overall male and female finishers and to winners in each age group, with food and refreshments provided to all participants post-race.

Le départ, c'est au Phare de Pt. Judith, et ça donne tout de suite le ton de la matinée : un tracé côtier, bien exposé, et sans difficulté sous les pieds. C'est la 13ème édition du Fitzpatrick Team RE/MAX Results Ocean Road 10k, une course (et marche) en "point-to-point" avec un parcours clair. Tu suis Ocean Rd. le long de la côte avant de bifurquer vers Town Beach. Le parcours est super plat, donc idéal pour les coureurs rapides qui veulent faire un chrono. Mais il convient aussi très bien aux marcheurs et à ceux qui cherchent juste à faire un bon effort d'automne au bord de l'eau. Vers la fin, tu passes sous les Narragansett Towers, un repère sympa qui signale que l'arrivée est proche, surtout quand la fatigue commence à se faire sentir. Chaque année, plus de 2 000 coureurs et marcheurs de tous niveaux y participent, et l'événement affiche complet à chaque fois. Tous les finishers ont leur médaille, et les photos de course sont partagées après avec le #OceanRoad10k.

Grills Trail Run is a fall trail race at Grills Preserve in Westerly, Rhode Island, offering 10-mile and 10-km options. Both races begin and end within the preserve, sharing the initial mile before diverging. This design provides a focused local trail event, distinct from road races merely labeled as trails. Westerly Track & Athletic Club organizes it as part of its fall race series. The event is intentionally straightforward, featuring club timing, no race shirts, and a lower entry fee compared to larger races. The course consists mainly of single-track trails, approximately 80 percent narrow and 20 percent double-track, incorporating riverfront sections and bridge crossings. The 10-mile route extends from Grills Preserve into Grills Wildlife Sanctuary in Hopkinton. Walkers are directed to the 10-km option, as the longer race has a 2 hour 30 minute cutoff. Strollers and dogs are prohibited, aligning with the course's tight trail format. The race contributes to the WTAC Fall Race Series standings, with a discount available for participants registering for multiple series races.

The Newport Winter 10K is a cold-season 10k held in Newport, Rhode Island. Both the start and finish are located at Brenton Point State Park. Runners will follow Ocean Drive, with the race course situated along the exposed coastline instead of a downtown loop or neighborhood route. The route proceeds clockwise around Ocean Drive from Brenton Point, keeping runners near Newport’s shore for most of the run. This is the event's second annual race, and finishers are awarded a medal and a winter beanie.
