2026 Route 66 Race Across Kansas

The Route 66 Race Across Kansas is a 13.2-mile road race on the Kansas stretch of Route 66, from the Missouri state line to the Oklahoma state line. It is an annual event, a half-marathon distance, centered on the idea of covering the entire Kansas portion of the Mother Road in one race. The course crosses the shortest segment of Route 66 nationwide, allowing runners to complete Kansas’s full portion of the historic highway in just over a half-marathon distance. Local communities provide support through aid stations and encouragement. The event accommodates walkers, teams, fun runs, and family activities. Pre-registration is required, and participants receive a commemorative T-shirt.
