9th Annual St. Vincent dePaul Community Pharmacy: Poor Man's Run 2027

The Poor Man's Run is a charity race in Monroe, Louisiana, starting at the ULM College of Pharmacy on Bienville Drive. It features a 1-mile fun run at 8:00 a.m. and a 5K at 8:30 a.m. This is the ninth year for the event, which raises funds for the St. Vincent de Paul Community Pharmacy. This nonprofit pharmacy assists patients in obtaining medications they cannot afford. The 5K is a timed road race managed by Ouachita Valley Road Runners. The fun run offers families and casual participants a more accessible option. All proceeds benefit the Monroe pharmacy. The pharmacy has dispensed over 280,000 prescriptions for close to 8,000 patients and provides aid to neighboring states during natural disasters. Participants receive refreshments on the course, an awards ceremony concludes the races, and a car show is included in the post-race activities.
