The Aurora Turkey Trot 5K & Mashed Potato Mile is a Thanksgiving morning running event in Aurora, Ohio, held at 109 W. Pioneer Trail. Participants can select the 5K, the 1 Mile Mashed Potato Mile, or the Gobble & Go Combo. The mile race begins first at 8:00am, followed by the 5K at 8:30am.
Packet pickup starts on race morning at 7:00am. An earlier pickup is available the day before at Aurora High School, near the cafeteria entrance. The event also accepts non-perishable food donations during packet pickup. Suggested items include peanut butter and jelly, snack foods, canned soup, canned fruit, pasta, and pasta sauce.
