À propos de cette course
Brown County Bikes Youth Camp, a DINO mountain bike race stop, takes place in Brown County State Park near Nashville, Indiana, with racing in late May. As Indiana’s top mountain bike destination, the park offers trail racing, not road events. Categories range from Intro and Junior to Base, Sport, Expert, and Clydesdale, with Intro typically covering 5 to 8 miles. First-time Intro racers compete for free, and the top three Intro finishers are encouraged to advance to Base in their next event.
The course navigates Brown County’s hilly, technical park trails. Race rules permit mountain bikes, cyclo-cross bikes, and similar configurations, provided the bike has no motor and two functioning hand brakes. Participants must wear a certified helmet and closed-toe shoes; using headphones can lead to disqualification. The event also includes families with the DINO Kids Ride for children 12 and under. This ride is short and simple, with every child receiving a small prize. Camping is available within the park, along with cabins and Abe Martin Lodge for overnight stays. Racers must check in at registration, even if they possess a series plate.
