Cajun Country Run (1/2 Marathon, 10k, 5k & Fun Run)

The Cajun Country Run is a December race series in Lafayette, Louisiana, offering both road and trail options on the same day. The road events include a USATF-certified half marathon, a USATF-certified 10K, and a 5K. The trail events feature a 10K and a 5K. A 1-mile fun run is also available, making the event suitable for half marathoners, trail runners, casual 5K participants, and families. The half marathon follows a single-loop road course and is noted as Acadiana's oldest half marathon. The event began in 2002 and has benefited TRAIL's efforts at the Acadiana Park & Nature Station since 2010. Participants can select either pavement or trails. Strong finishers receive one of the more distinctive awards in local racing: an alligator head.
