Cocoa Beach Triathlon & Duathlon 2027

The Cocoa Beach Triathlon & Duathlon marks the start of the season on Florida's Space Coast, typically held on the second weekend of April near the Cocoa Beach Country Club. Athletes can choose from multiple race formats: a sprint triathlon, duathlon, aquabike, relay triathlon, and a 5K. The duathlon consists of a 1-mile run, a 12.5-mile bike, and a 5K run. The aquabike combines a quarter-mile swim with a 12-mile ride. The triathlon begins with a quarter-mile swim in the Banana River, featuring a beach entry and exit, supported by certified open-water lifeguards and kayak and paddleboard volunteers. The bike course is a flat 12-mile out-and-back along coastal highway A1A, making it suitable for both experienced racers and newcomers. The event draws participants from Florida and northern states seeking a spring competition, and it has been a national finalist twice for Triathlon Business International's Best First Timer's Race award.
