Harvest Moon Race

The Harvest Moon Race begins and ends at St. Philip’s Church in Moon Township, Pennsylvania. It features a 10-mile run, a 5K run/walk, a 1-mile fun run, and a Kidz Dash for young children. The main races commence in the morning, and the event proceeds regardless of weather. Chip timing provides a proper race-day setup for the longer races, accommodating families and walkers. Aid stations are positioned every 1.25 miles, offering water, sports drink, and basic first aid, with EMS present for more significant issues. Proceeds benefit St. Philip’s Student Ministries, supporting middle and high school students in Moon, Coraopolis, and surrounding areas. Following the races, attendees can enjoy live music, raffle prizes, food, the signature Hot Apple Crisp, and an awards ceremony. Participants receive race shirts, and childcare is provided for runners and volunteers.
