À propos de cette course
The Indian Creek Trail Runs begin and end at Indian Creek Campground in Sedalia, Colorado. Denver is close enough that the city is visible from viewpoints along the route. This fall race series provides 50-mile, 55k, 15-mile, and 5-mile distances. The two longer races have 14-hour time limits, and the shorter ones have 12-hour limits. The event is limited to 225 runners across all distances, and early starts are permitted for those needing additional time.
This is the oldest official race in the HPRS series, known by runners as the Fall Classic. The course features infrequently used singletrack in the Denver Metro area, transitioning between lower and upper montane elevations from approximately 5,000 to 8,000 feet. Participants will see lodgepole pine, aspen groves, tall grasses, scrub oak, and red rock formations similar to those at Red Rocks Amphitheater, with occasional views of nearby 14,000-foot peaks. Aid stations will be stocked, and race-day registration might be possible if the field is not full. Finishers will receive a medal while supplies last.
