À propos de cette course
The Jordan River Blitz Backyard is a paved-trail backyard ultra held at East River Front Park along Utah’s Jordan River corridor. Participants run a 4.167-mile loop, the standard backyard-ultra distance, with 4-hour, 8-hour, and 12-hour Blitz options available instead of a single open-ended race. The event takes place during the third week of October, coinciding with peak fall color in the Wasatch Valley.
The route utilizes the Jordan River trail system, part of a river corridor extending over 40 miles between Utah Lake and the Great Salt Lake. The course features no road crossings, a clearly marked loop, timed laps, live results, ample parking, and a well-supplied finish area. Registration provides locally crafted finisher medals, a running shirt, breakfast from Great Harvest Bread, and pizza from Big Daddy’s Pizza, contributing to the race’s practical, local character.
