Judgment Day Half Marathon, 10K & 5K Run/Walk

The Judgment Day Half Marathon, 10K & 5K Run/Walk takes place in Bakersfield, California, in early October. All race distances start and finish at Sam Lynn Ballpark, utilizing the Kern River Trail. This event serves as the final race in the Run The Valley Series, making it suitable as a standalone competition or a series finale. The half marathon and 10K begin before the 5K, and a virtual half marathon option is also available. The half marathon is 13.1 miles on mixed terrain, including paved sections, dirt trails, and an ascent to Panorama Bluffs before returning to Sam Lynn Ballpark. The 10K begins inside the ballpark, follows the paved Kern River Trail, then diverts to a dirt path up Bluff Hill before finishing back at the ballpark. The 5K is a straightforward, flat out-and-back course entirely on the paved Kern River Trail, ideal for walkers, beginners, or those aiming for a consistent pace. Race day amenities include aid stations with water, Electrolit, and GU, live results via phone, RaceJoy tracking, complimentary race photos, music, breakfast, La Rosa's Fruit Bars, finisher medals, and awards for age groups and overall finishers, plus a post-race beer garden.
