À propos de cette course
Krampuslauf is a winter mountain running event at Dartmouth Skiway in Lyme, New Hampshire, based on the Central European Krampus Run tradition. Participants select a 5K loop, a 10K loop, or a 9-hour format, repeating 10K laps for as long as possible within the time limit.
The 5K course is on the Holt's side of the mountain, while the 10K uses both Holt's and Winslow. Lap runners also use both sides and have a drop area at the start/finish. The theme originates from Krampus, the half-goat, half-demon figure from Christmas folklore who accompanies St. Nicholas carrying a wicker basket and birch branches. Single-race finishers get medals, lap runners receive specialty pins for each 10K lap, and anyone completing 50K in the 9-hour event earns a 50K medal. A portion of the proceeds benefits Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sports.
