Long Grove Turkey Trot 5K & 8K 2026

The Long Grove Turkey Trot is a Thanksgiving Day 5K and 8K race held in Long Grove, Illinois. The start and finish are located on the town’s historic downtown streets. Participants can select either the 5K or 8K race, with a certified course providing a measured route before the holiday meal. The finish line is situated under Long Grove’s well-known covered bridge, serving as the race's most distinct local identifier. Following the race, all participants receive an apple cider donut. Adults aged 21 and over are also given a beer. The post-race gathering includes a live band, beer, and hot cider.
