Mackinac Island Great Turtle Half Marathon & 5.7 Mile

The Great Turtle Half Marathon & 5.7 Mile is a late-season trail race on Mackinac Island, held during the last open weekend of the season. Over 2,400 runners and walkers use the island’s interior trails. The half marathon starts in front of Mission Point Resort, and the 5.7-mile run and walk starts by Straits Lodge at the same resort. The course is challenging, with both races finishing in the park near Mission Point, just off the main road. The weekend also includes downtown sales, Mission Point activity, and Halloween events for adults and kids. Finishers receive a medal, registered participants get a commemorative garment and free digital photos, and runners who complete three of four Run Mackinac races can earn a separate Mackinac Island Trio Series medal after Great Turtle.
