À propos de cette course
Runners in the Monkey Maniac relay begin with banana belts, tasked with safeguarding at least one banana until the finish line. The Monkey Run, a family-friendly run/walk, takes place in Fort Worth, Texas, at 3024 Acme Brick Plaza during October. The primary 5K spans 3.1 miles and accommodates both running and walking, offering timed and untimed options.
The event emphasizes accessible participation: the Monkey Mile is a 1-mile, untimed route suitable for all ages, and the Sleepy Monkey entry allows supporters to forgo the course and receive a shirt by mail. All funds raised benefit Eternal Surrender, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit supporting families who have lost a child. The most spirited element is the Monkey Maniac 2 Mile Relay, capped at the first 50 registrants, where course volunteers attempt to take runners' banana flags before they cross the finish.
