Nitro Turkey

Nitro Turkey is a Thanksgiving morning turkey trot held at Point Pinole Regional Park in San Pablo, California. Participants can choose between 5K and 10K distances on mostly trail terrain. This Brazen Racing event welcomes families, and walkers can participate in the same distances as runners. Children have their own short sprint, the Little Turkeys Race, approximately 100 yards long, where they race against the Nitro Turkey character. The 5K and 10K courses wind through Point Pinole Regional Shoreline, featuring a few small hills and open views across the bay. On a clear morning, up to five bridges and six counties may be visible from the park. Thanksgiving costumes are encouraged for all ages. Children aged 10 and under can enter the Little Turkeys Race without charge when accompanied by a registered 5K or 10K participant. The children’s race includes special medals and a goodie bag. The event benefits the Food Bank of Contra Costa & Solano.
