À propos de cette course
Run Scared is a Halloween race held at Seward Park in Seattle, offering 10K, 5K, and 2-mile run/walk options. Costumes are encouraged, blending the race with a Halloween party atmosphere. Runners, walkers, families, and children can participate at a distance suitable for them. The event benefits Blood Cancer United - PNW, previously known as The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and has been held for 18 years.
The course utilizes Seward Park and now bypasses the hill, making the event more accessible for casual participants. Race-day activities enhance the experience: a costume contest, hot apple cider, a candy corn tasting bar, a free kids dash, a pre-race treasure hunt, and a photo booth. Results are available in real time, with photos released after the event. Fundraising efforts support blood cancer research, patient information services, family support, and advocacy for coordinated care access.
