À propos de cette course
The San Joaquin River Trail series offers races on singletrack trails within the San Joaquin River Gorge Management Area, with options for 10k, half marathon, 25k, and 50k distances. The spring event begins with the half marathon, followed shortly by the 10k. This is fundamentally a trail race, not a road race with some dirt sections.
The half marathon gains approximately 2,500 feet, with over 90 percent of its course on singletrack. Participants should anticipate a challenging day featuring significant climbing and narrow trails. The 10k route includes one aid station near mile 4, while the half marathon has four aid stations providing water, sports drink, gels, and snacks. Runners are advised to carry a handheld water bottle. Awards are presented to the top overall male and female finishers and to age-group winners. Half marathon finishers receive a shirt, a finisher award, food, and a post-race beer.
