The Fast & The Furriest 5K

The Fast & The Furriest 5K is a pet-friendly 5K and walk supporting animal rescue fundraising. Multiple local events exist: the Humane Society of Memphis and Shelby County holds a race on Farm Road in Memphis. Separately, The Bond Between organizes a September morning run/walk at Thomas Beach on Lake Bde Maka Ska. The event allows dogs, friends, and family, with registration before a 9:00 AM start. The Bond Between's event has separate adult and child entry fees. It welcomes various paces and has attracted dogs, cats, and families for a day focused on rescue support, sponsors, and community fundraising, not just fast racing.
