The Kat Walk 2026

The Kat Walk is a half-mile walk or run along the Port Orange riverfront, designed for people of any ability level. Participants can complete the entire route or just a portion, with the event focused on raising awareness about encephalitis through education and support. Ken and Kat Atwood use the series to help individuals advocate for themselves and their loved ones affected by encephalitis, a condition impacting one person globally each minute. The inaugural Kat Walk raised nearly $9,000 for encephalitis research at Mayo JAX. The event concludes with a red carpet and a cheer zone, ensuring every participant receives recognition.
