Titletown Turkey Trot, Presented by DOE

The Titletown Turkey Trot begins and ends at Boyle County High School in Danville, Kentucky, on Thanksgiving morning. It is the largest race in Danville, offering a chip-timed 5K for runners seeking a result and a 1-mile Gobble Wobble for those preferring a short walk or easy jog. The event includes overall and age-group awards in the 5K, catering to a broad audience of runners, walkers, children, strollers, pets, and spectators. The 5K course starts on the Boyle County High School turf field, then proceeds on a closed course along paved roads and a walking path through Millennium Park. All participants receive a Titletown Turkey Trot long-sleeve shirt and a finisher medal. The race commemorates Deangelo Durham, a Danville community member who passed away at 38, with proceeds benefiting a scholarship fund for his two children. The event has seen consistent growth, with over 345 runners participating in the last edition.
