À propos de cette course
The Wild Rover Series features three Irish-themed road races in Massachusetts' Merrimack Valley, held on consecutive Sundays as winter transitions to spring. The structure is straightforward: a 3-miler in Haverhill, a 4-miler in Lawrence, and a 5-miler in Dracut, with the distance increasing each week. All races begin at 11:00 a.m., and participants can register for the entire series or for individual events.
The first race, the Frozen Shamrock 3-Miler, begins at Maria's Family Restaurant in Haverhill. The second, the 4-Leaf Rover 4-Miler, is hosted by Lawrence Elks Lodge #65. The series concludes with the Irish Clover 5-Miler, finishing at Owen & Ollie's in Dracut. Each race typically draws 500 to 1,000 participants, including walkers, novices, club members, and individuals training for fitness. The Irish theme extends to the post-race activities, which include live music, food, custom apparel, finisher medals, and Irish-themed merchandise.
