IRONKIDS Sunshine Coast 2026

The IRONKIDS Sunshine Coast is a children's run held on Mooloolaba Esplanade in Queensland, as part of the IRONMAN 70.3 Sunshine Coast festival. It is designed for children aged 7 to 13, featuring a straightforward run-only format: participants aged 7 to 10 complete a 1 km distance, and those aged 11 to 13 run 2 km. The course is situated along the beachfront promenade, with the ocean on one side and no traffic interruptions. Its flat and fast profile makes it accessible for new runners, while still offering a competitive challenge for older or more experienced children. The IRONMAN event structure provides a more formal atmosphere than a typical school fun run, including professional timing, aid stations, spectator support, medals, random draw prizes, and a finish line experience similar to the adult event.
