Mount Panorama is the draw: the 9th Mount Panorama Punish sends runners for “one hot lap” of the iconic motor racing circuit, where your legs provide the horsepower and your lungs burn. It has the feel of a runner’s dare, not a fun run disguised as one, because the first half climbs hard toward McPhillamy Park before you earn the fast way home. The fun is in using a race track like a course map: take the racing line around Hell Corner, glide across Brock Skyline, then drop through The Esses with Conrod Straight coming into sight. Families and teams show up too, with bib pickup tied into Bathurst Parkrun and Tattersall’s Hotel, plus trophies for the biggest team and fastest average team. A new quirk for the weekend is onsite camping at Mount Panorama, with powered spots in the Paddock Campground.
