Hart's Mill provides a fitting harbour start, with the route following the scenic Inner Harbour without fanfare. The Port Loop Coastal Run offers a relaxed, affordable morning for runners: an AIMS-certified course on the Port Loop path, with water nearby, bridges included in the legs, and enough structure to feel like a proper race. The course consists of a northern loop over Birkenhead Bridge and a southern loop over Jervois Bridge, providing a satisfying out-and-back rhythm with crossings, turns, and harbour views. The "RUN RED" Christmas theme adds a festive quirk, with participants competing for costume trophies alongside medals, including one for the "Gravy Day theme."
