The Barodorf

Bethany Reserve serves as the start for The Barodorf, a point-to-point trail run connecting the Barossa Valley and Hahndorf via less-traveled, scenic sections of the Heysen Trail. It offers the character of a true ultra and trail event, with wine country terrain early on, Adelaide Hills ahead, and sufficient changes in the landscape to draw your attention from the path. The theme is “Vine to Stein,” conveying its essence effectively. Anticipate a blend of runnable trails and significant climbs, evolving scenery, and the expansive sensation of traversing from the Barossa’s renowned wine region toward Hahndorf, encountering striking vistas in the hills and surrounding areas. The route is scheduled to reverse annually, altering the perspective, elevation, and demands while maintaining the same grand traverse experience.
