On the Western Australian coast, the Perth Marathon is a road-running event with a big-city feel and a seaside edge. The Revo Fitness Fremantle Running Festival begins at Esplanade Reserve in Fremantle, providing runners a location adjacent to the port city’s parks, historic streets, and waterfront. The West Australian Marathon Club organizes the event, which features a solo half marathon, a half marathon relay, 10 km, 5 km, and a 300 m children’s race. Races start early to complete most running before the heat increases. The courses are primarily on road, utilizing Fremantle’s coast, open paths, maritime surroundings, and Indian Ocean vistas as the primary setting. The relay divides the half marathon into three legs: 10.1 km, 5.5 km, and 5.5 km, for teams of two or three. Participants include club runners, casual runners, families, and children.
