Swimrun Australia: Sydney North is a public swimrun event held in October. It begins at Sandy Bay Road in Clontarf, located on Sydney’s North Harbour. This event is part of the Swimrun Australia series and follows the swimrun format, which involves alternating sections of running and open-water swimming, rather than a single swim followed by a single run. The course runs point-to-point from Clontarf Reserve to Manly Beach. It crosses coastal national park areas, beach sections, harbour viewpoints, and parts of the Northern Beaches of Sydney. Three distance options are available: Experience, featuring 7.75 km of running and 1.85 km of swimming; Enduro, with 14.5 km of running and 2.65 km of swimming; and Ultra, offering 22.5 km of running and 4.06 km of swimming. OceanFit Pty Ltd is listed as the organiser on AusTriathlon’s events calendar.
Zombie Run 10K & 5K

Sandringham receives a full Halloween makeover: a flat, fast course featuring zombie pacers instead of standard pace groups. The atmosphere leans towards a monster mash rather than a serious road race, yet runners aiming for a personal best have a clear incentive to participate. The guiding principle is “Keep your Pace, or Lose your Race!”, a theme the Zombie Run 10K & 5K embraces wholeheartedly. You select your target time and start in the corresponding wave, then aim to “beat the zombie pacers” before they reach the finish. Walkers and families can join the main group at the back, while quicker runners can pursue the unique SURVIVOR medal instead of the ZOMBIE/INFECTED medal. Costumes are welcome, temporary tattoos complement the theme, and the finish promises Halloween-themed enjoyment without becoming a contact sport.
Sri Chinmoy Sydney Series 4

The Sri Chinmoy Sydney Series 4 begins near Fig Tree Flat, also known as Willow Tree Flat, beyond Audley in the Royal National Park, south of Sydney. This morning run and walk event offers six distances: marathon, half marathon, 10km, 7km, 5km, and 4km. The marathon starts first at 06:00, followed by the 10km, 5km, and half marathon at 07:00, and the 7km and 4km at 08:00. Entry fees range from $13 for the 4km and 5km to $47 for the marathon, considered modest for a road race. The longer races are held on Lady Carrington Drive, providing a sense of an out-and-back course through the park for the marathon and half marathon participants, unlike a city-road course. All distances are run on natural surfaces with some undulating sections, making it a more rugged event than a flat fun run. The Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team organizes it with the same straightforward approach used throughout the Sydney Series: participants register, attach their number, and proceed with the course. The broader series includes events at locations like Iron Cove and originated with a race at Centennial Park before expanding to other Sydney running venues.

This event marks the Series finale and offers a practical trail running day. Participants should park near the start/finish, handle the national park vehicle entry fee, and prepare for running on dirt paths beneath the trees. The races feature marked trail courses through forested areas of the park. The primary appeal lies in the park's terrain: shaded paths, varied surfaces, and sufficient trail complexity to maintain runner engagement. Wave starts are employed to manage participant flow, and a shuttle service operates from Loftus Station for those not arriving by car. A notable detail is the entry process: online registration concludes at 5pm the day prior to each race, with on-site entries available at the venue for an increased cost.
Parramatta Race Series: Race 3

Race 3, the flat closer in a three-race series, starts at Silverwater Park, with the route heading out by the Parramatta River. It has the feel of a practical club-style morning rather than a showpiece: chip timing, steady paths, and a course that is "ideal for chasing personal bests" if your legs are there. The running follows the river walk and Louise Sauvage Pathway toward Sydney Olympic Park, mostly road and shared-use path, so expect a rhythm course more than a hill fight. You will see quicker runners, first-timers, and families around the Family Dash, and the finish has the usual useful bits: a unique themed medal, snacks, sponsor giveaways, and a digital certificate.
The 5K Foam Fest: Sydney

The 5K Foam Fest Sydney is a 5-kilometre obstacle fun run held at Sydney International Equestrian Centre in Horsley Park. Beginning in the morning, the event centers on foam, water, mud, and inflatable obstacles, not on achieving a fast time. The route features over 25 obstacles, with 2.5 million cubic feet of foam distributed across the course. The course includes the world's largest inflatable waterslide, several slip and slides, rope climbs, wall climbs, cargo nets, mud pits, hurdles, spider web forests, tire hops, lily pads, and Wipeout Wonderland. Participation in the obstacles is optional, allowing individuals to walk, jog, or run through, based on their preference for mess. It is best suited for groups, first-time participants, and casual runners rather than competitive racers. 365 Sports is the organizer of the event.
