Little Souls 2026

Little Souls is a marathon-style race for children in Lethbridge, Alberta, centered on a 42.2 km objective without requiring children to run the full distance at once. Participants cover 40.2 km independently in the weeks leading up to race day, using printable log sheets for tracking. They then run the final 2 km together in the evening. The race is limited to 600 children, with participants no older than 12, registered in the Kids Marathon category. The concluding run begins and ends at Chinook High School in west Lethbridge. Age-group starts are staggered, commencing at 6:30 p.m. Parents are restricted from the course, allowing children their own race space while family members observe from the school grounds, where parking is provided. Every runner gets a marathon medal, a cotton shirt in a child's size if registered early, and a post-race hamburger. Additional burgers are available for purchase by parents and spectators.
