Corrida Bulloise is a road race held in November in Bulle, Fribourg, Switzerland, on a circuit through the illuminated city center. The event, which began in 1976, features short, repeated loops. Elite men complete eight laps of a 1 km course, and elite women run ten laps of a 600 m course. Each 1 km lap has an elevation gain of approximately 6 m, ensuring fast, compact racing that is simple for spectators to follow.
Approximately 4,500 participants from various nations compete in 25 categories, including children, mass-participation runners, and national and international elites. The event also offers a 7.750 km walking route, extending its appeal beyond elite competition. Recent elite races have seen victories by Kenyans like Winnie Jeptarus and Boniface Kibiwott, alongside notable performances from Swiss and Fribourg athletes, creating a race with both international depth and a strong local presence.
