Memoriál Matěje Mauera

The Matěj Mauer Memorial is a running event held in September in Capartice, a village within Klenčí pod Čerchovem in the Domažlice district of western Czechia. This local race series caters to both children and adults, offering categories from very short junior runs up to 5 km and 7.5 km races for older participants. The race route consists of short loops measuring 0.1, 0.2, 0.5, 1, 2, and 2.5 km. This design ensures younger runners complete appropriate distances rather than being grouped into a single adult event. The competition is part of the O nejlepšího běžce Chodska series, and the race boasts a long history, with editions approaching fifty. While pupils and juniors compete for prizes, adult runners can win cash awards. The organizers also conduct a prize draw after the race, with results typically announced within approximately thirty minutes.
