6. Springe-Deister-Sommerlauf

The Springe-Deister-Sommerlauf is a summer running event held in Springe, within the Hanover region, featuring routes based on a 5 km loop. The event offers 5 km, 10 km, and 15 km runs, a 5 km walk and Nordic walk, and short races for children. It commences at Schulzentrum Süd (OHG), and LLG Springe is the organizing body. Participation fees are modest, with the running races priced in single-digit euros and the walking event costing less. The loop crosses the countryside surrounding Springe, passing near Alvesrode, the Springe Wildlife Park, and the Springe Hunting Lodge. The majority of the course consists of asphalt, interspersed with some paved farm-road sections. The terrain is gently undulating rather than flat, with minimal elevation change along the route. The course is officially measured and DLV-approved, allowing results to be recognized for German rankings. Each kilometer is marked, using color-coded signs to indicate the different race distances.
