The Alzauenlauf is a November running event in Trostberg, Bavaria, organized by TSV 1863 Trostberg from its sports ground on Jahnstraße. It features a 10 km main race, with shorter races of 800 m and 2.6 km, allowing children, youth runners, adults, and seniors to compete within the same program. The children’s 800 m races begin before the main event, while the 10 km race is part of the Euregio-Laufcup and provides individual age-group results plus a club team competition.
The 10 km route commences in the Jahnstadion, proceeds into the Alz meadows, follows paved paths toward Wäschhausen, and circles back to Trostberg on the opposite side of the river. The local building yard prepares the course, and the event proceeds regardless of weather conditions. Teams in the 10 km race consist of five runners, comprising three men and two women, with their times summed for the final ranking. Food and drinks in the finish area, along with changing rooms and showers at the Alois-Böck-Turnhalle, contribute to its practicality for club participation as well as competition.
