Porzellinerlauf Kahla is a small autumn road race in Kahla, Thuringia, starting and finishing at Sportplatz Am Dohlenstein. Its main event is a 13 km run, with shorter children’s and youth races alongside it, making the day suitable for local families and regular runners alike. The race has been held since 1971 and is organized by SV 1910 Kahla e.V.
The field is usually modest, with 101 to 300 participants, and recent editions have seen over a hundred finishers. The name references Kahla’s porcelain identity, giving the race a local character beyond just being another town run. Timing is handled by regional race services, and runner feedback rates the course particularly well compared with the event’s other categories.
